Protecting your personal data matters to me. This website has been deliberately built to process as little data as possible: it uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools, and does not load any third-party content such as fonts, maps or videos.
This is a courtesy translation. Only the German version is legally binding.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (server log files). This includes your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the previously visited page (referrer), and your browser type and operating system.
This data is processed solely to provide the website technically and to ensure its security and stability. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. The log files are stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO. Under this agreement, STRATO is obliged to process the data only on my instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
3. Encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the details you provide (for example your name, organisation, contact details and enquiry) in order to respond to your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in responding to your enquiry. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Providing your data is voluntary. Without it, however, I cannot process your enquiry.
For email, I use Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Microsoft processes emails as a processor on the basis of the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out; Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Appointment booking via Microsoft Bookings
To arrange meetings, I link to a booking page provided by Microsoft Bookings, operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. You only leave this website when you click the link; until then, no data is transferred to Microsoft.
When you make a booking, the details you enter (for example your name, email address, phone number, appointment and topic) are processed by Microsoft on my behalf to organise the meeting. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Processing on my behalf is governed by Microsoft’s Data Protection Addendum. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out; Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information can be found in Microsoft’s privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com.
Booked appointments are stored in my calendar to document the business relationship (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are deleted after three years unless statutory retention obligations apply. Providing your data is voluntary. Without it, however, an appointment cannot be booked.
6. Link to LinkedIn
This website contains a simple link to my LinkedIn profile. It is not an embedded plug-in, so no data is transferred to LinkedIn when you visit this website. Only when you click the link will you be taken to the website of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, where its privacy policy applies.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
Right to object: where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
An informal message to marius@pfeiffer-ventures.com is sufficient for any request.
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Unabhängiges Datenschutzzentrum Saarland, Fritz-Dobisch-Straße 12, 66111 Saarbrücken, Germany.
